Sorry - I didn't realise that you were part of the group. You always
just reminded me of the mad aunt who turns up uninvited at Christmas,
smelling faintly of gin and stale piss. You claim to have gifts but
you only bring rusty cans on a string and claim that they're
telephones. You stay for lunch and proceed to gorge yourself on roast
potatoes and turkey, making sure you suck the marrow from the bones.
It plays havoc with your false teeth - might as well get them out at
the table and disinfect them in the wine you think. Late at night as
you are finally ushered out of the door you stagger home to your room
in a run-down b&b where you sit weeping whilst you are sick on your
own shoes.
